Koenders Windmill Aeration - The Koenders Free Air Windmill is a maintenance program that works year round to provide the dugout water with a continuous supply of oxygen. During the summer, some natural aeration is produced by surface winds. These surface winds aerate only the top layer of water. Far below the surface, the water stratifies and the bottom layer remains choked.

When left unconditioned, the deep water develops quality problems. The Koenders system, releasing air into the bottom of the dugout, conditions the deep water. It ensures the entire volume of water is aerated. Coupled with the surface winds, the water supply is circulated to maintain its healthy state.

During winter, ice seals off any natural aeration, but he Koenders Windmill continues to catch air and release it in the bottom of the dugout. The Oxygen supply is maintained, so the water quality is not allowed to deteriorate.

Airstones - If you prefer, you can add an airstone to boost your aeration efficiency. Attached to the foot valve, the airstone works in conjunction with the Windmill to diffuse the air at the bottom of the dugout. The airstone can increase your aeration efficiency by up to 30%.

Koenders Water Pumps - Koenders water pumps can be powered by any windmill or compressor. The pumps are anchored to the bottom of a dugout, stream or shallow well and float just below the surface of the water.

They are effective for pumping water for livestock and gardening. Pumping to a reservoir keeps animals out of the water source. Livestock prefer the reservoir water, so they drink more. For gardening, the pump eliminates hauling by hand. Two Models are available to match your water source requirements.
